SMC Group Limited, a multi-franchise car dealer operating throughout 14 dealerships in the South East of England in Kent, Surrey and Berkshire. SMC Group represent 5 major automotive brands including Ford, MG Rover, Mitsubishi, SEAT and Suzuki. SMC Group are one of the top 100 car dealers in Britain. Their previous website was desperately letting them down. They came to G-Forces looking for a website that portrayed their size and standing in the marketplace and allowed them to effectively market themselves online and drive unit sales.

The Challenge

With over 25 years group car dealerships experience, there is often a case of a disjointed message being portrayed to their potential customers online. SMC wanted to pull their web presence together and ensure that a clear, single style, corporate message was achieved. The initial emphasis was to be on the platform and on developing their web-presence through the development of a new ‘digital dealership’ and then to evolve the business, driving up the volume of online enquiries with a campaign of integrated marketing communications, using both online and offline strategies.

The Process 

SMC were looking for an online presence that would embrace the clear shift in buying behaviour towards the internet and be able to develop online leads into online enquiries through consumers’ actions by creating a definite ‘call to action’.
