December is often seen by many as a month where the normal hustle and bustle of business goes a little quiet, as customers start looking forward to Christmas rather than perhaps their next vehicle purchase. But, for our clients, their ecommerce-enabled websites gave them an edge. Their digital dealerships were open 24/7 throughout the festive period, with a number of sales and transactions seen on Christmas Day and Boxing Day as a result. In fact, the period of December 20th-26th accounted for a third of the sales seen in December through our platform. Not only do we see this as further evidence of consumer appetite for online vehicle sales increasing, but also buying behaviour changing as a result – with sales generated when many physical dealerships were closed or operating reduced opening hours.

Our first launch in December was for Aspire Specialist Cars. Based in Hyde, Cheshire, on the outskirts of Manchester, they are an independent dealer stocking a wide range of prestige and performance vehicles. They take pride in their no-pressure approach and hassle-free buying environment, something echoed in their new NetDirector® Auto-e website. It was also great to see our first launch of the month gain the first full score in customer satisfaction for December too.
Another independent specialist is the Kent Vehicle Group, based in Aylesford, Kent – putting them in close proximity to our head office in Bearsted. Their privately-owned status ensures unbiased buying advice on the extensive stock of premium vehicles you’ll find represented in their showroom and new digital dealership too. We were also delighted to receive another 5/5 for our customer service as well.
Saltmarine Cars is a family-run business based in Dungannon, County Tyrone. They boast Ford, Hyundai, and Mazda franchises, as well as a comprehensive selection of quality used vehicles. Their impressive physical offering is now matched by a NetDirector® Auto-e website, with the flexibility of online deposits and full payment enabled. And, for the third time in a row this month, we’d like to thank them for our glowing full scores for customer satisfaction.
One of our long-term clients, Birchwood, have shown continual commitment to evolving their offering to meet consumer demand. The latest iteration of their website delivers full end-to-end ecommerce, enabling Birchwood customers to choose between reserving a vehicle, buying it outright, or purchasing through finance – all online. We’re extremely pleased they’ve chosen NetDirector® Auto-e as the platform to deliver this to their customers.

Another major retail group we work with, Parks, added a new Lamborghini franchise to their online lineup. Their state-of-the-art showroom in Leeds is now matched by a digital dealership that takes their offering to a global audience.
Heading to Europe, Visser Automotive is a Peugeot franchise based in Niijkerk, in the Netherlands. They’re also part of Europe’s largest dealer group (by revenue), Emil Frey. With over 60 years of operation and experience, they have built an enviable reputation supplying local customers and businesses with a wide range of services, all from under one roof – just like their new website.
Our long-running partnership with Jaguar Land Rover saw new rollouts of our service booking widget across their dealer networks in Slovakia. Another manufacturer we are proud to work closely with, Kia, also added three new sites to their network in South Africa. We’d like to welcome The Glen, East Rand, and Alberton to the NetDirector® family of websites.
